1-cup sugar
1-cup corn syrup
1-cup creamy peanut butter
1 box of Corn Flakes

Preparation:

In a Large Pot on a stove, add sugar, corn syrup, and peanut butter, stir and mix well until the mixture bubbles, then remove from the heat and add up to 7 or 8 cups of corn flakes- A cup at a time until all the mixture is covered. Place onto wax paper in spoonfuls, if possible place the semi-finished product into a fridge/freezer to be further solidified and added crunchiness. Now onto the important part;

One night, a bit after Christmas, my friend was staying the night. We had went to the fridge and gotten some of the candy that I had helped my family make traditionally for Christmas, I am not a person that gives too much care to traditions, although some new found ones do have a resonance with me, for the most part I will not let tradition hold me back. Anyway, we took the treats from the fridge, and went upstairs with a mini-stockpile to last us a bit and some drinks. When we arrived in my room, I booted up a game I had been playing much, and I game I played much after, Mount and Blade: War band. I loaded my game, and our adventure, and a time with many memories, began.

I walked out of the city gates, the hot sun beating down on my face. I shrugged, and fastened my bags to my steed, and made sure all my weapons were properly sheathed and prepared for any attacks that might follow suit. I walked over to the new recruits I had picked up from the small village south of here, and made sure they were ready for travel, and we headed off, towards the main city of Swadia, as I wanted to continue making my presence known to be an ally of this kingdom. When suddenly, a band of-

Back to reality, my friend and I were talking about how my character in this game has lost so many men to slavery and death, and how he has spent more time being captive than anything, and we talked about how I was not at the time too good at horseback combat, and then, some bandits attacked our small group of Swadia Recruits and Myself, and thus, combat was initiated.

The bandits told me to give them my valuables, and MAYBE they would let me live. I spat at them, and told them they did not stand a chance, it was 3 of my men versus 6 of theirs, but I had the advantage of superior weaponry and a horse. They managed to strike down one of my men, and suddenly, something inside of me clicked. I had always had issue with horseback combat, but now, for some reason, it all pieced together in my head, and I charged at them, slashing to the side and slaying one of them, and my horse jumped forward and trampled one, as I stabbed down into him. What a mighty steed! In no time at all, we were victorious. I fed my steed some strawberries, and the remaining recruit took a deep breath, as we looted the corpses.

One again, back in reality, we high-fived and talked about how awesome my horse was, slamming into the enemies and such, and we created a legend about the horse, one that lives on to this very day, and hopefully much longer. We continued to eat the treats that tasted rather well, as we ate some of the other treats besides the chrunchies as well. We laughed at the jokes we told and the legends we created, and I continued to play.

We arrived around the city of Swadia, I now had a certain excitement in me, having achieved a large victory after all the loses and casualties I had faced in the majority of my adventures, it felt nice to win every now and again. I stabled my horse at the stables, and walked into the streets of the city, checking every merchant for supplies and any information, and found a task to hunt some sea raiders. I decided to take this task, and I swung by some nearby towns and recruited a bit more of a fighting force, I had about 15 men including myself now, and I had picked up a traveling bard in the tavern of the city. We headed off towards the city- as my friend and I began to finish up the sweets- And we headed towards the cave were the raiders were holding out. we sneaked through on foot and I pulled out my crossbow and fired at them from a distance, as my men charged forward, and in a few short minutes we had cleared the area out, and we plundered the caves and bodies for loot to use and sell.

It was around 11-12 at night, and we wondered whether or not we should get off and do something else, as we had played on and of for about 2 hours, and I decided we could continue to trek it, and that we could fit another encounter or two in before we swapped up games and such.

I went back to the city of Swadia and turned in my proof of victory, a ring stolen in their latest raid on the small villages, to the guild master, who thanked me and rewarded me for doing the task, and then I walked over to the castle, to speak to the lord, who, in this case, happened the king of Swadia. He greeted me, and talked cheerfully about how I had been advancing the interests of his kingdom, and he offered me the chance of vassalage, a grand honor. I took it, ready, and become a lord. I gained a nearby village under my control, and I went to investigate it.

It was getting around 1 AM, and my friend got sleepy, and went to bed. I kept playing for a bit longer, and it ended up leading to the demise of the character, who was beaten by a force of 50 men and taken captive.

My eyes slowly opened, and I looked around. I was in some sort of cellar, possibly a dungeon in a lords castle. I looked around, and saw some other vassals of Swadia, and a few of my men that survived the attack. It was end of the line, I suppose, I had a good run, but, I will probably be here until I rot. I looked around the cell for something to escape, one way or the other, and found a rusty, yet sharpened stick of metal. When the guards came in, I attacked and killed as many as I could until I was riddled with arrows, and I slowly looked on as I could feel the life slipping out of me. And then..Nothing.

And thus ended the character, it was a fun adventure, and it is a rather memorable time. It might be peculiar that I correlate a good memory with such a seemingly average situation, but, there, in the room, in the game, it was something different. Games are what made my friend and I friends to begin with, and it is something we still share, amongst many other things. And the legends and tales created that night lived on, and playing this got me the training I needed to make a truly successful character, Donistead the Great, whom became famous, rich, a loyal vassal to the Nords, war hero, tourney champion more than 6 times in a row, and so much more. So, this is a memorable thing that resonates with me, Remembering it through The character's and My own perspectives
